Note:

Seeing as how we left the session with you guys resting feel free to rp in character any light conversation in this thread, This can be used to plan your parties next move or just for character devolopment.

Anything you character says should be in a diffrent colour to show that it is being said.

Example:

As you finish setting up your campsite Mont bows to you all solomnly then turns and heads off into the buzzing night time jungle. Just before he disapears from view he shouts back over his shoulder "Sleep well warriors in the knowledge that the elder spirits will sing of your deeds for generations to come!"

Should be fine once I see my roster. Will keep you posted.

I will perform the Create Campsite ritual, summoning hundreds of diminutive nature spirits to assemble a campsite in a 25 foot radius around me. The spirits clear the area, set up tents, unroll bedrolls, gather water, and prepare a nourishing meal. The spirits utilize mine and mine allies’ gear to make the campsite, even gathering raw materials from the environment to make the campsite should we lack the appropriate gear. They also conceal the campsite.

I would like to spend some time with each of our charges to learn more about them. Speaking calmly and soothingly I would like to ask questions of them like;

What is your name?
Where do you hail from?
Do you know any of the others?
What were you doing before you were taken?
How and where were you captured?
How long have you been held down there?
Do you know anything about the ones who captured you?
What will you do now you are free?
Is there anything I can do to help them?

Unfortunately I will be in NSW that weekend.

also might want to houserule fix the new monk ability Synchronized Thunder.

You hit two targets, and, whenever one takes damage, so does the other, creating endless damage loop until death if one gets hurt

As yout make your way through the small group of rescued people most of them are too weak and disorientated to give you any overly decent answers.

The old man whos leg you saved seems much better then the others, no doubt from the healing magics you wove upon him, he looks up and smiles as you approch. He is a middle aged man in tattered and soiled workers clothing and his well lined and gaunt face seems to have regained much colour since you first met him in the monuments underhalls.

"Well Deva i am told that i owe you my life, it is a debt i can not likely repay but i will attempt it none the less."

The words weaken him some and he coughs and then takes a sip of the offered water.

"My name is scholar Relden and i am originaly from Harril, i have been in the crystal ils for ... well.. maybe two seasons now. I was commissioned by her ladies blessed academy to journey here with a few others so we could make a study of this wondorus place to bolster the academies libraries."

He looks slowly around the surrounding jungle for a moment before he continues.

"Me and a handfull of colleagues had organised a bit of an expedition into the jungle around Tarraco bay to examine the site of some last age ruins and everything had been moving along swimmingly for the first day or two... ow the gaps we where bridging in the libraries archives were amazing, i could practicly see some of the more braggart scholars faces as they found out there much defended theroies where naught but hot air... ooww i would have almost taken this commission for that sight alone."

His eyes twinkle in the moon light for a few moments before a harrowed look creeps across his face.

"It was the second night when i woke to the screams, i can remember rushing around in the camp in utter confusion as these... Creatures would apepear from nowhere... rend one of my friends into little more then a bloody mess then vanish into thin air once again... After that my memerios are unclear, not much more then mad hallucinations or wakeing nightmares. This night has heralded me the first clear thought in only Ioun knows how long! If not for you and your companions i dare not think what would have become of me."

Instant kills are no fun. tipping the scales in ones favor is much more fulfilling.
Even an unfair advantage is still just an advantage, its not a guarantee.

Also, Whilst here in the jungle, I'll scope around the outskirts of the campsite for things of interest. Exotic herbs and such.

Then I shall sit in the middle of camp and finger my bum. Nobody will see this because, as it turns out its an elven ring of invisibility.

After taking the time to recover my strength and complete a formal head count, I will document the happenings of our conquest in my journal. I will fassion a few renderings of the monument and the mosaics and statues within for archival purposes.
I will take a few minutes to evaluate my own performance in the preceding battles and consult my spell book to see where I can improve my casting and understanding of the arcana I have learned over the years.

I will, at a time that feels most appropriate, attempt to gather information from the evacuees from the monument. As will no doubt become apparent to me, most of these poor souls will be in no state to answer many questions. If in fact I assertain that the elderly man Kamlani healed is in a state to discuss matters I will approach him for audience. It would seem an appropriate line of questioning to ask if his affiliation to the aforementioned library has an arcanic accademy connection. I will ask if this connection drew him to work or even associate with scholars of the Karvindas Accademy.

If I have exhausted possible conversation with the eldery gentleman I will then approach Zero.

"Zero, I must commend you on your efforts in there. I have an elementry knowledge of your kind and would have thought it out of charater for you to help strangers such as ourselves, once your benifit proved null. I have greatly underestimated you. Nevertheless I am no fool. I assume your continued pressence means you see it more profitable to stay with us till further, perhaps less tawdry, work comes your way. Either way if you intend on joining us for a while and your intentions are not to harm us, I will do my best to make you feel welcome. Now I am a man who enjoys the finest of things and I would like to offer you leaf I acquired in the land of your Queen. I also have some imteresting if not pungeant wine in this here skin if you would care for a snifter."
Hoping to bridge the cultural gap I will now regail Zero with tales of my travels until I make him feel slightly uncomfortable. This shouldn't take too long.

Johan you are familiar with “her ladies blessed academy” it is school where Harril’s rich send there son’s to learn how to be lords. They teach them the arts of diplomacy, the finer points the mercantile dance, history, languages and what ever other simple skills are required in the day to day world of the hideously wealthy.

When questioned about the Karvindas academy he responds with.


“Many apologies sire my head… well it is still not quite my own. I ask for a respite until I have rested and regained my wits some what and I give you my word that I shall answer your questions to the best of my knowledge.”

Well seeing as how Shamus will be unavailible for next session as long as nobody has any issue with it i will offer Chris a chance to fill in for that session.

I just cant say no to another DM who is keen to get a game in.

Well, with another dick flopping about and Shamus away... Guess that leaves Jamie with the slops.

I am definately up for a new member. I don't want to upset the applecart or miss out on a session. Is there no way we could do the next session one week later?

Or the one earlier. I'm cool either way, but I don't really want to miss out on the info that will be gained in the next session.

To late to switch to this weekend and besides i have shit on and im fairly sure dean does aswell.

Just to clarify the next session will definately be at Door Matt's place. There was some talk of Patty hosting but due to current circumstances it will be at Door Matt's as usual. Just so we know.

unsure about being able to attend next session, will know by wednesday.

At Johan's offer of weed and booze, Zero will respectivly decline:
"I mean no offence wizard, but in my proffesion I find clarity and a clear mind much more useful, hence i do not imbibe alcohol or consume any other... narcotic, but thankyou none the less i already feel at ease leaving that revolting monument, my contract completed, and with others with similiar goals in mind, again my thanks."

As Johan waffles on about whatever it is he's talking about, Zero quickly grows bored and looks for an oppurtunity to consume some rations, clean & maintain equipment and rest:
