League update

There has not been much updating here about the league, as originally 2 of the 3 people who replies are the two people who probably check this site the least, so I was just updating everyone by phone. Due to the late entrance of two more players I felt I should probably put up an update.

Round 3 tentatively scheduled for this weekend, where the chaos dwarves will kill some high elves

And roving packs of Lizardmen (ridden of course by Nazi's) will invade the pitch killing all in their way.

In related news, the chaos dwarf Thalhad Orehammer killed the high elf Galdin Crystalphoenix, who prior to this round had been leading the league in star player points. Congratulations Thalhad

The league website has undergone anotehr change. With more and more information being added, the one page format was becoming increasingly annoying, hence the change. Have a look http://vaibbl.webs.com

Also, still wanting someone with a little more artistic flair than me (obviously not hard) to volunteer to pretty up the website. Considering I have been just writing the page in straight html it has been very basic, all suggestions are welcome, however.

I like it's simplicity in function and design. I must say that it does look old because of the low res graphics and general pixily feel. But thanks for getting it up there. Working with computers does not make you creative or a graphics designer. Maybe JD could help.

lol, i like that one matty. its simple cos i used straight html, which originally was only supposed to be a temporary page while i talked my brother into building me a page, but i didnt count for something, hes almost as lazy as me.

Ok, we have reached an eventuality that I had not anticipated. Therefore a new league rule will from now on be enforced. If you do not show up on game day, this is not a problem, however the onus is on you and your opponent to schedule your game outside this time. In the situation we have now, where we are waiting along time for this game to happen, it is not fair on those who are showing up on game day. Therefore, from now on, if you do not show up on game day, you will have a MAXIMUM of 2 weeks to play your game. If you do not during this time, the teams will be awarded a 0-0 draw. If you are given one of these draws you do not get any stats (no completions, no injuries, no MVP, in general no Star player points will be awarded), and you will also not receive any money from the gate. All you will get is the 1 point for a draw. Dean and Dan, you have until this weekend, if by monday you still have not found time to play each other, the 0-0 draw will be assigned. Regardles of how this plays out, we will schedule the next round on monday.

how is everyones availability for sunday week, in the afternoon?

sundays are not so cool for me as I start work @ 14:30 (in hastings). so I usually leave about 13:30.

Saturdays are a better day for me as I usually don't have a lot on during the day.

I know i said I would update player stats on the weekend, but i have been a bit under the weather. Will do them soon. Apologies for any inconvenience.

Also, Round 4 is currently scheduled for saturday the 11th, 1pm kickoff. Incidentally, if anyone who is not currently playing wishes to come to a game day, as a spectator or whatever, I have no problems with this. However, you will need to speak to physicist and old man, as they are hosting the events.

ok, player stats have now been updated, JD, i have adjusted yours, to reflect your name changes, Dan, whenever you next check these forums, give me some player names, please?
Also, while updating i noticed a couple of errors i had made, such as a missing casualty on one of my players, put the mvp for deans first game on the wrong player. I think I have fixed all mistakes now, however in the future, if you notice a mistake for your teams stats, please let me know. And no trying to worm yourself free stats, i have the hard copies here :p

Didn't the troll die? And weren't there a few more deaths recently?

the troll regenerated, and the only other death was one of deans beastmen in round one, as he had no stats i didnt keep him in the list, yours is still in the list because he had stats.

Following from Davids enquiry today, there is an alteration to the new league rule I posted recently. Dave helped me realise that the previous rule might be a bit unfair, if one person makes the effort but the other doesn't a draw is not really a fair result. Therefore, if neither player makes the effort, then the previous rule stands as is. However, if one person makes the effort, and the other doesn't, then instead of a 0-0 draw, it will be a 1-0 win favouring the player who did make an effort. I will be updating the ladder now with the games that did get played today.

Only one more round to go before our first finals series begins. Congratulations to Reservoir Frogs, Kappa Ohm Kappa, and Darklands Demons, who are all guaranteed a finals berth. Good luck to Da Green Masheen, Chaosolona, and Gee Bangers who are fighting over the last spot in the finals series. For any players interested in joining in the next season, please give me your expression of interested, and the team you wish to play before the finals series ends. For any current players wishing to change race for the next season, again please give me your desired team before the end of the finals series. This will help me get the second season started as soon as we can following the end of this season. For anybody in either of these positions (wishing to join, or wishing to change race), you will be given gold pieces enough to make your team value equal to that of the lowest value team in the league. What this is I will of coures not know until after the next round.

Most interceptions goes to Mendoza, of the Reservoir Frogs.
