I plan to live. Write my letter to my superiors asking for aid with my leg and give the letter to pennybottom. When we get back to town ill have to get the leg cut and everything.
Hopefully I would just like not to die. Ill try find a temporary leg too.

Ill put my name down for the session too.
Goals not to die, find a leg if I havent already, complete my mission in town, help pennybottem get his ship back.

So once we've loaded up the wagons and rounded up all the gear I order little Davie no toes toan the fires. I poor some whisky on Mr. West's leg.

"Many a limb is lost at sea my boy, the alcohol keeps the infection from quickening."

As the evening progresses I tell tales of my service in queen Victoria's service and the history of mad kings before her.

In the morning as we head off I set to discuss the best way to deal with our riches.

"Now MAC and Mr. Doolin, let's not trouble Mr. West with all this right now. He's suffered enough. He'll collect the bounty and we can give him a share of what we unload later. Now from what we collected how much do you want to unload?"

Seeing as how you chipped away three ranks of the wound your leg isn't to bad. You have a couple of small bleeding wounds that look like mini gun shot wounds that should heal well on their own as long as you keep them cleaned and bandaged.
At most your leg will be a bit tender for a couple weeks but you can still walk on it fine.

Anybody who remembers differently correct me if I'm wrong but this is how i thought it went.

You had two chips remaining both blue.

You healed West's 4 rank chest wound off the initial roll with a Miracle with out spending a chip.

You then tried to heal his 5 rank leg wound with a Miracle but fell short of the tn by 3, you spent a blue chip and rolled an additional 2 and still failed.

You received 5 wound ranks to your leg for failing the Miracle.

You spent your last chip which was a blue to get rid of 3 of the wound ranks leaving you with two ranks of damage to the leg.

As for the loot, including items found in the house, tents and munitions store.

One chest containing 324 pre civil war silver dollars. (estimated value $324)

One chest containing an estimated 20lbs of Ghost rock. (I say estimated because you dont have scales to get an exact quantity or one of my 20ilb balls to use for comparison.)

32 Winchester rifles '73 (You would guess they are Union army “surplus”)

21 Colt Army pistols (All so probably ex-Union)

16 crates of .44-40 ammunition (50 rounds per crate)

1 crate of dynamite (10 sticks in total)

1 complete steam wagon with mounted Gatling gun. (well you think its complete as none of you are really experts.)

1 semi complete steam wagon with mounted Gatling gun. (it appears this one was having work performed on it recently as the front wheels and axle have been removed and there are some weird doo hickies and bits in a crate near by.)

3 horses. (alive)

16 Tents (Two man variety)

32 Bed rolls (1 man variety)

1 drum of lamp oil

6 oil lamps

Estimate 100lbs of jerky condition “suspect” (Once again you lack scales or 5 of my balls.)

3 full barrels of water sub type: Rain

16 loaves of army hard bread. (Chance of surviving consumption: Medium)

3 maps of local area including the areas north of Saint George and around the Oregon border. (Quality poor, Accuracy; Unknown.)

Ok so we have one wagon now empty and one horse we brought with us. I imagine we would be able to rig up the wagon to be pulled by two horses. That way we can load the chests and most of the guns and ammo found and get it back carefull that way.

As I am unaware if any of my companions can operate a stem wagon I will see how I go at the idea. I can captain a ship and have worked some steam engines I could have a crack at figuring it out.

In failing that I had a thought that we could rig one (the complete) wagon up to the remaining two horses and take it out of gear so we could roll it back. (Metagame reference) I have seen a single clydesdale pull a tractor out of a ditch after it had turned over so I imagine two stock horses could roll a steam wagon with no people on it at a reasonable if not slow pace.

We will leave any rations we found that at a cursory glance look like they would do more damage than good. But we could take the best of that for the trip. Load up the maps to take back for surveying purposes.

We should roll up a few tents. You said there were lamps and oil. We will take a meager suply back but with what remains of the camp I say we move what we are taking away from the camp a bit and they lay waste to it. Pour oil on the remaining tents and barriers and set fire to it. I will instruct who ever is doing this to clear the area around the front of the mine and wet the ground with the suspect water to try and avoid the butrices burning down further in the mine but you know, what can you really do if it falls it falls.

Anyone disagree with my plans so far?

Yeah I figured Pete and Davie could pull the back with their dicks.

Ok could the timber wagons be pulled by one horse each?

If so that should be a priority as the town needs the timber.

While the first may be an option the possible rope burn makes me shudder just thinking about it.

The horses are heavier set pack animals then your typical riding horse but with the load of timber on the carts you are guessing you would probably need two horse per cart to get them moving.

Ok so lets first try one thing. Can I attempt to figure out how to just drive the steam wagon. Can I spend a bit of time fuffing around and get it moving? Because with that on the go we could tow a fair bit.

Purely getting it started would require a tinkering roll with a TN of 5 i believe.

You don't have tinkering skill but you can make an unskilled roll using your smarts at take half the value.

Edit: removed until i can get it doing random again.

The question is what do you do with the wounded? Did you attend to them before going to sleep? Because I for one would at the very best would have tied them up if they were still alive. In a merciful way I would have more likely given them a soldiers death. At worst I would have dragged them off and left them for the grey wolves that are prevalent in and around Oregon.

It's up to you Grace. If you are going to attempt to save them that is on your head. We can't have them running off to warn people and we definitely can't have them murdering us in our sleep. If you think they will spare you because you helped them, then you can tell me how the rape was in the morning. Look at these men. They will not hesitate to do to you what I'm sure you have fought of from better men.

Ok a the first dice came up a 10 which halved meets the TN.

After about an hour of playing with the steam wagon you manage to figure out the basics of starting it up. You you realize there is no fuel in the furnace. It will require at lease 1pound of ghost rock to get it started or 10 pounds of coal.
