Blackwell Castle & the Iron Ridge Region

Don't know where to ask/post accumulated information for Blackwell Castle and the Iron Ridge region so feel free to change stuff.

Time permitting of course, Aizen wishes to continue accruing information on this kingdom and it's surrounds to better understand his new home.

Once his initial inspection of the Steelbloom Estate is completed, Aizen will to continue on to all the other holdings in a similar fashion.
Mainly just information gathering at this point as he knows nothing of this kingdom, it's surrounding area, people, industry, security or proletariat opinion.

So to change all that he will begin gathering information from any and all sources to better make decisions that relate to the kingdoms affairs. If he can get the common clothes from Mrs. Piers, he will wear those after the initial inspection, in an attempt to integrate with the peasantry (assuming an attitude and demeanor of such).

Hanging out in the taverns incognito is a main part of his work day any day of the week. Other times, he may pitch in with any serf level work (farming, serving, cooking, cleaning, butchering etc) in an attempt to disguise himself as just another nobody, of course he will not need to carry his Zanpakuto during these periods. He does not intend to do this to the detriment of his appointed Ducal responsibilities. He does have a knack for being back at Steelbloom Manor in time for important visitors and Mrs. Piers outstanding suppers.

A few questions.

• What is the name of the city north of Rivering? Anything of interest happen there or near there? Open Trade/Travel?
  
• What are the names of the towns to the northeast of Rivering? Anything of interest happen there or near there? Open Trade/Travel?
  
• What is the name of the village southwest of Blackwell Castle? Anything of interest happen there or near there? Open Trade/Travel?
  
• What is the name of the town northeast of Port Newland? Anything of interest happen there or near there? Open Trade/Travel?
  
• Who are the rulers of Rivering? What are their standings toward Brutus Blackwell and the new Blackwell Kingdom? Open Trade/Travel?
  
• What kind of relationship does Rivering have with it's neighbouring settlements (if known)?
  

So many questions I'm still trying to figure out what there is to ask that is pertinant. I'm sure Shamus and the other will ask more and better questions. Right now, my mind has wondered off.

Sorry about the delay in getting to these questions, i have been trying to find a better place to host the Faraway map. A place so you can download it and zoom in on the relevant areas with proper resolution.

Gilf was founded on a series of small mud islands at the fork of the Pissa and Mezen rivers. It began as simple temple that the local hunters would give offerings to the Gods for their bounty. As more people frequented the temple a small trading port was established. The entire city has been built around the temple literally on the water and now, some twenty years later, it stands as an enormous floating pyramid (approx. 824 ft).

Pyramid of Gilf:

The banks of the Pissa and Mezen are lined with floating structures used for residence by the populace (est. 12,000 people). During the occupation by the Dol Seroth Empire, aqueducts were built and formal canals established to facilitate the needs of local agriculture and river trade via flat bottomed merchant barges.
