PostSubject: Session Four   Mon Jan 13, 2014 5:32 am

Session Four:
Date: Saturday the 15th of February
Time: 6:00
Place: Mine

In Game Date: Sunday the 15th of July, 1832
Time Between Sessions: None.

Yes Doormatt we have made it, so long as you fuckers show up, we have gone past three sessions Razz

Good session btw guys.  Just a point of note, noone was actually supposed to drink the blood, but I knew at least one of you would, so I had to make sure I had thought about what would happen if you did.  And nice one in breaking the amphora matty, I honestly did not see that coming.

Look forward to seeing you all on the 1st.

edit: I seem to have jinxed myself. You fuckers didn't show up.

if nobody was supposed to drink it then you shouldn't have included a "make this roll or your forced to drink" roll.  Just saying

Edit: And are we really not playing again for a month and a half?

you only needed one success, I kinda assumed everyone would pass easily, and everyone other than you did. JD decided to fail his on purpose.

One of the Golden and often under appreciated rules of GMing is as follows;

If there is a element that is essential to the story in your game, never make the players roll a dice to get it, because they will inevitably fail.

The inverse of this is;

If you don't want your PC's to fall in a hole, then don't make them roll to avoid it.

If I can get my wife to allow me to roleplay once a month, then surely you can too. :-P

Well seeing as jd is a big girls blowse, we have just 3 players, this does not mean that I am canceling the game. I intend to continue. I am sure we can kill off jd in a respectable way, maybe we can make him choke on his own balls or something. Then we can do something about his character. So rest assured we will be continuing. Obviously your availability is a bit up in the air Matt, and we will endeavor to work around you as much as possible. I am also keen for anyone to come in and replace jd, no they won't be playing his character, we will make new ones.

Ahh shit, i just realised that the 15th is this weekend.

Honestly the chances of me being there are very slim. Just warning you. I think Shamus is running is game on the 22nd but the sat after that (the 1st of march) is probably going to be more achievable for me.

As for replacement players, Romni might be interested.

Cheers for that matty. We will play it by ear, if the slim chance this weekend is good, we will leave it as is, otherwise I don't have a problem with the first.
Also I will send Romney a message.

I'm in the middle of moving, and may be too stressed and scatterbrained. That said at least you picked my favourite era and locale for a game... or just after it.

30 years ago would have been the midst of the Napoleonic wars, so how on earth did a Ventrue named Pierre get power? Was he a Royalist and a Bourbon?

Using nWoD?

Never fear, we may not play this weekend, matts availability is unpredictable for obvious reasons. I also wouldn't mind if you didn't play next session, just knowing we have someone coming in would be great.

Wow, you really know your shit. This wasn't actually going to come up in game at all, but no. Pierre's arrival in England actually predates the bourbon restoration. As you said it was the middle of the Napoleonic wars, and as such napoleon was still emperor. He fled France after a failed coup, where he had attempted to overthrow the prince of Paris. He came to England to find London being ruled by an invictus mekhet, who had let his rule stagnate, the only reason he had not been challenged by the local priscus was that nobody wanted to upset the status quo. This worked in Pierre's favour, as many elders around the city would back him, or at least make deals with him, so long as the nightly routine remained undisturbed.

So does this mean that you are in Romnipotent?
If so I will have a character written up by Saturday for you. I pregened all the characters, and will do so again so as not to take away any time from game time. If there is any requests that you would like to make, just let me know and I will incorporate them.

So what's the go? Is this Saturday night off due to Matthew being new dad? Is JD out of the campaign? I hope it is still going to run. NWOD is awesome and it will help me to play this once a month still. I did not intend to interrupt this campaign with mine. If anything I hoped it would make both work well.

This Saturday is still on. Matt will let us know if he can make it later, probably on Saturday. Jd is out of the campaign, we will respectfully kill him off on Saturday, and then I will work out what to do with his character.
