In the noise filled darkness of the jungle night Mazery’s, Kamlanie’s and Caleb’s rest is disturbed by feverish nightmares. Images of rage filled death and carnage swirl through your mind as the deep and sombre voices of long dead gods echo just on the edge of hearing.
The horrifying feeling that your skull is starting to crack from an ebbing pressure drives you into fits of madness vomiting bile and blood while you stalk through landscapes of your past searching for more victims on which to vent your primal rage.
Your visions continually return to an alien landscape to which you have never travelled, a swirling land of chaos and destruction. Giant floating chunks of rock and iron colliding with each other in an endless sea of void, deafening cracks of thunder as lightning discharges into the swirling madness. An overbearing monolith of flesh and stone, thrusting into the sky and etched with a long lost language which burns your eyes to look at. Its base is pulsating with flesh sacks which as you watch burst forth puss and stink and the poorly formed bodies of the frog daemons.
You wake briefly during the night drenched in sweat and a headache like a haunt from your night mare’s pounding out your skull. Through watering eyes you can see the elder Amatil looking down upon you, brow furrowed with concern and the hulking form of Bodun at her shoulder. She has her cold hand lightly resting on your brow and she speaks to you but the words fail to make sense in your aching head.

| some bonus flavour since the bit in the first post is out of date.
Childer turns to regard you from the raised mezzanine, an opaque field of raw arcane energy surrounds the area shielding any attempts to get near him. He studies you all with a look of interest, a surprised smile crossing his features.
“Well Johan, it seems your reputation may not be all hot air and now it seems you have done me a favour.”
He raises his staff and gestures towards his fallen comrades.
“They had out lived their usefulness and now you and you’re…. companions have relieved me of the task of compensating them for their efforts. So for that you have my thanks.”
He turns at the approach of a female gnome who mumbles something to quiet to be heard from your vantage.
“Well miss Whiteheart if we must then I guess we must, begin the ritual at once I don’t want to delay this anymore then necessary.”
The Gnome disappears back out of view and Childer begins to pace back and forward across the mezzanines edge.
“Well Johan it appears I have an appointment with an alter in this wonderful steam bath of a landmasses capital. Unfortunately that means I will have to be a less then gracious host and leave you to your own devices, prey grant me forgiveness.”
He pauses for a minute and studies you all carefully.
“You all have such determined looks on your face, well full marks for commitment then I suppose. I shall leave you with something to amuse yourselves with and if you manage to survive… well, it will be too late for you to interfere with my plans anyway.”
He raises the staff for a moment and the floor around you all starts to serge with swirling force. Over the torrents of energy you can just make out Childer commenting more or less to him self as he wanders out of view.
“Quite an extraordinary place, I shall have to return and ponder it more fully when time permits…” | |

| Seriously though, I take it this is more the spoiler to the next session. Did you want us to wait until then to react? Allowing us to matagame to a point. I would like to take this opportunity to discuss our next move between sessions. | |

That sounds like a solid plan. Obviously this guy is WAY more powerful than any of us, so throwing Johan into the maelstrom could earn favor with him. Then, six months or so down the track, once he trust us completely, we could all take turns having sex with his attractive cousin. Then, when he's all pissed off & shit for the fuck train we just rode on his blood relative, we use that moment of distraction to hide the keys to his house. Then, when he's super pissed off at now being late for his orthodontists appointment, we all start making fat jokes about his dead mother. Then, when his face is all red and angry and shit and it looks like he's about to explode from anger, we tell him we're just kidding and offer him some chocolate. Then, when he goes to take some of the chocolate, we tell him that we're just kidding about being on his side and attack. This way, we should be pretty much guaranteed a surprise round. | |
