I am away for a wedding on the 23rd so i have shifted the session back a week.

In game date; August 742DS, Year of the crustacean.

Due to the session finishing half way through the festival you do not get a month to play with, the date will remain as it was last session. You do how ever have about 3 days to play with in the city of Rivering, so no doubt you can find things to occupy your time.

I may put up an icc post for this session, i have not yet decided.

I would like to spend the remaining few days seeking out the services of construction workers ( carpenters, stonemasons etc... ) willing to make the return trip back to blackwell. Their first task once would be to begin construction of the western watchtowers once completed, blackwell would be their next destination.

A contract would be made, this would include all food, lodging(them and their family members), weapons training aswell as their weekly/monthly wage

I will also make myself available for the night auction bidding on the book 5000g

chasing up the mage that competed in the tornament to see wether or not he has given my proposal any thought will be a priority.

To give you a rough base point, skilled tradesmen generally earn around 10 gold per month working in Rivering. This is not for foremen or overseers but just for the general guys who work in the workshops etc.

That gives you a basis for your counter offer to encourage people to leave Rivering and venture out into the wilds of the Iron Region. There are plenty of tradesmen around so you should be able to work something out.

Finding the mage known as "Ink" is hardly difficult, due to his status as a potential champion of the tournament he is invited to all the same Guild soiree's that you are. As you approach the blue winged mage his mouthless face face turns towards you and his words slide into your mind.

Ahhh the representative of the Iron King. I have considered your offer and i find the remoteness of the Iron ridge region attractive, therefore i will agree to your request as long as my requirements are met. Firstly i require a domicile from which i can continue to study and practice my arts, it must be a place which i deem suitable to my needs. Secondly i require a retaining fee of sorts... to cover my many expenses. I can settle for no less the 500 gold a month in this instance.

Ok good session guys, glad to get to the next out of session month.

As for EXP:

+5cp to Dan for improving the realms skilled labor situation.
+5cp to Shamus and Dan for their efforts in winning the Summers end Tournament.
+5cp to JD for strengthening trade agreements with the Rivering Merchants Guild.

Please post up any changes you make to your characters, if you could also list how you have spent any cp some where in your character thread it would be much appreciated.

Ok guys, in closing, don't forget to aim for an hour on the forums for this game each week. We all seem to be enjoying the game, but to keep it running strong requires a little work from all of us.

Remember your posts don't have to be war and peace to be valuable, a sentence or two can mean a lot.

Also, due to Deans time restraints he will be converting to a cameo players, attending sessions when he can and posting in the forums when he finds the time, rather then for the minimum hour per week. Ivan will step down as a Duke of the Iron Region and take on the title of Baron. He will retain is holdings and will be permitted to attend and speak in council meetings but forgoes his vote in any proceedings.

His position as defender of the South is also up for grabs, what is to be done about this can be discussed during the out of sessions play.
